- Compile, develop and monitor the implementation of annual and medium plans for Family Health Bureau
- Coordinate with district and provincial managers in development of district and provincial plans and special donor funded projects
- Coordinate achievement of SDGs and national health targets
- Staff development activities for FHB staff
- Human resource development for family health programme including planning, develop and revise duty lists, advocate for revising curricular for basic and in-service training
- Coordinate basic and post graduate training with relevant agencies
- Disaster preparedness and response coordination activities with regard to reproductive and child health in emergencies
- Advocate and coordinate to improve family health programme delivery at the field level by strengthening points of service provision
- Quality improvement in service delivery at the point of care
- Advocate and support community based primary health care with special focus on RMNCAYH service delivery
