Director, Maternal and Child Health

The Family Health Bureau is the central organization of the Ministry of Health responsible for Maternal and Child Health Services in the country. Established in 1968, the FHB has, over the years, strengthened its organizational structure, linkages and capacity to cater to the needs of the country — playing a key role in expanding MCH services to the most remote rural villages.

The achievements Sri Lanka has made in the field of MCH are well recognized throughout the world. As Director, I extend my gratitude to all those who have contributed — with commitment, dedication and hard work — to those achievements.
