Function of the unit

• Advocate on matters relevant to Women’s Health including policy formulation.
• Provide guidance and technical expertise on Women’s Health.
• Direct, guide, coordinate and support the peripheral MCH Programme Managers on matters related to Women’s Health.
• Provide technical and managerial guidelines on Gender & Women’s Health.
• Capacity building
• Develop programme specific training materials.
• Forecast, estimate, procure, store & distribute equipment, chemicals and supplies for National Well Women Clinic Services & Cervical Cancer Screening Programme.
• Mobilize funds and other support from GOSL and international sources.
• Maintain surveillance systems with regards to Women’s Health.
• Establish and maintain partnerships.
