Ensure that Intra natal and Newborn Care is adequately addressed within the MCH/FP policy
Ensure provision of quality Intra natal and Newborn care to all women and newborns at institutional and field levels
Ensure implementation of essential service delivery packages on Intra natal Care and Essential and Advanced Newborn Care
Ensure availability of uniform, updated national evidence-based technical guidance and direction to improve Intra-natal and Newborn Care
Strengthen the infrastructure for the provision of Intra-natal Care and Basic and Advanced newborn care
Strengthen supportive services (laboratory, radiology, blood transfusion, high dependency, and intensive care) to improve Intra-natal and Newborn Care
Improve knowledge, skills, and competencies of health staff on Intra-natal Care and Essential and Advanced newborn care
Ensure effective implementation of the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative
Strengthen collaboration and partnership with all stakeholders working towards improving Intra-natal and Newborn Care at all levels
