The Annual Conference of Medical Officers of Maternal and Child Health was held in Polonnaruwa from 23 to 25 June 2026 under the theme “Shaping the Future of Maternal & Child Health Care.”
The Annual Conference of Medical Officers of Maternal and Child Health was held in Polonnaruwa from 23 to 25 June 2026 under the theme “Shaping the Future of Maternal & Child Health Care.”
The three-day conference brought together Medical Officers of Maternal and Child Health and public health professionals from across the country. The programme included technical sessions on maternal mortality, nutrition, child mortality, family planning, adolescent and youth health, newborn care, planning, health information and digitalization.
Round-table discussions and group presentations also provided opportunities to review current challenges, exchange experiences and identify priorities for strengthening maternal and child health services in Sri Lanka.
