National Nutrition Month 2026

During National Nutrition Month, parents and caregivers are encouraged to take children under five years of age for regular growth monitoring by their Public Health Midwife.

As we mark National Nutrition Month in June, parents and caregivers are reminded of the importance of monitoring every child’s growth.

Children under five years of age should be taken to a growth-monitoring session conducted by the Public Health Midwife. Weight and length or height measurements taken during these sessions help identify undernutrition, overweight and other growth problems at an early stage.

Regular growth monitoring supports children to grow healthy, active and strong. A healthy future begins with the small steps we take today.
