Guidelines for Providing Food and Nutrition during Emergencies (Sinhala, Tamil, English)
FHB publishes a trilingual guideline for delivering food and nutrition support to disaster-affected populations during the emergency phase. Available as separate PDFs in Sinhala, Tamil and English.
The Family Health Bureau has issued operational guidelines for delivering food and nutrition support to populations affected by emergencies. The guidance covers the immediate response phase — when displacement camps, mobile clinics and field kitchens are the primary care settings — and addresses safe infant feeding, lactating mother support, child supplementary nutrition, and food-safety protocols for community feeding corners.
The guideline is published in all three official languages of Sri Lanka. The English edition is rendered inline below; the Sinhala and Tamil editions are listed as related documents and can be downloaded directly from the Resources library.
